A section of Narok leaders now say they will oppose the construction of a proposed international airport on land allegedly linked to former President Uhuru Kenyatta in Maasai Mara.
The leaders, while speaking in Siana Ward in Narok West Constituency, say the international airport should be built on public land within Narok County and not on private land.
The construction of the proposed project is scheduled for launch by President William Ruto at the end of the month in Narok during his development tour.
Narok Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu has called on leaders from the county to take advantage of the President's visit to request more development projects in their constituencies.
"We are saying, as Narok leaders, we will not allow an international airport to be built on land belonging to an individual. We want it to be built here in Narok so that our youth can get jobs," Ng'eno remarked.
